Abstract

The article offers a look at the status of the candy bar industry in the U.S. in December 1943. Raw materials that produce a pound of chocolate drops sell at 27 centavos while they trade at 64 centavos when produced as chocolate bars. The article also reports that the U.S. Army is considered as one of the customers of the industry. The regulation of the Office of Price Administration (OPA) regarding the pricing of candy is also noted.
