Abstract

The article discusses the debut of the newspaper "The Chicago Sun" on December 4, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois. The newspaper was owned by Marshall Field and published by Silliman Evans. Around 892,000 copies were printed on the first day. In addition, the paper had 62,000 lines of local and retail advertising, 20,000 lines of national advertising, and around 3 1/2 pages of classified. The paper's editorial page has endorsed the Administration and has expressed plans to align itself with the foreign policy of U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
