Abstract
- The article explores the U.S. production outlook in light of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. The author claims that production will depend primarily on military and naval requirements. American factories focused on airplanes at the war's outset since they were the prime requisite of the British and French forces. In Russia, tanks have a top rating on the Army priority list. The author believes companies with nondefense facilities convertible into arms production will be drafted or compelled by materials shortages into the war effort.
