Abstract

The article offers a look at the industrial development program of Mexico as of June 1944. The country's industrial rehabilitation and development is expected to bring a strong light industries which can compete for the domestic and export business and a substantial demand for heavy industrial equipment. The rapid shift of the economy toward manufacturing and service enterprises is seen to be balanced by mechanization and technical improvements in agriculture.
