Abstract
- The article offers a look at the economic and political condition in Brazil in September 1944. When Germany posed a threat to sweep Africa into the Axis camp, the U.S. exerted an effort to strengthen Brazilian defenses. Brazilian economy depended on several industries including sugar, export of coffee, and cotton. INSET: LATIN AMERICA VII.
