Abstract
- The article discusses a concern by the American Hotel Association (AHA) regarding the impact of building of new hotels on the patronage of existing, but less modern inns. The warning issued by the AHA notes that the ill-advised construction of hotels could lead to bankruptcy or foreclosure of existing establishments that cannot afford to upgrade facilities due to lack of labor and materials. The association also expressed its apprehension about losses incurred by small communities that finance the building of oversized hotels.
