Abstract

The article offers information on the U.S. bond market in 1952. It states that the 171 million-worth of local public housing supported by the government was offered for the declining bond market caused by municipal bond issues. It says that the market has been inundated with municipal issues since January 1952, resulting to the decline of municipal bond prices. It notes that the dealer group headed by Fenn & Co., Phelps, and others aims to bid 40-year bonds with a yield of approximately 2.75%.
