Experiment in Vocational Training in a Secondary School.

In the autumn of 1957 two classes in Secondary School No. 3 in the town of Orekhovo-Zuyevo carried on their studies in line with an experimental program which combined the regular curriculum with productive work. The successes scored by these classes were partly due to the practical training received by the pupils of the eighth and ninth classes in the spring of 1957 at the Respirator Works. The pupils of the tenth class began their vocational training at the factory in November of the same year. To meet the requirements of the factory they were trained in the following trades: turner, setter of turret lathes, milling lathe operator, assembly line fitter, and maintenance fitter.
