Abstract
- The article reports on the U.S. income gains of the last six months of 1950, which seem to have reached a plateau. Business Week's Regional Income Indexes reportedly gained only two-tenths of a point, the smallest since March 1950. The reasons given include employment dislocations due to shifts from civilian to war production and farm-income dips in several regions. The impact of the Korean war, the different U.S. districts and their markets, and factors such as tight money, drought, or expansion were all looked at.
