Abstract

The article focuses on the problem regarding the paper work at Glidden Company. As Glidden President Dwight Joyce saw the volume of paper work he had to deal with everyday, he decided with the help of his executives, to trim down the forms that were used in his company. The review yielded 172 unnecessary reports and a few others that were needed to be replaced by more efficient ones. The result of the paper audit produced nearly 30,000 U.S. dollars savings in printing costs, more executive's and worker's time plus more cabinet space.
