Abstract
- The article discusses the problems regarded by railroad companies as caused by commuters in the U.S. An overview is given on the financial losses incurred by commutation service and their plea to set higher fares. It explores the financial and commuter concerns faced by New York, New Haven & Hartford R.R. with its petition to increase railroad fare. It also cites the commutation fare increase granted by the New York Public Service Commission (PSC) to New York Central System.
