A country report for Czech Republic as of January 2011 is presented. It expects the centre-right coalition government to have a strong mandate to address the structural public finance deficit from 2011-15. Domestic economic growth is expected to be weak in 2011 due to the slowdown in the euro zone and fiscal austerity. Also expected is for trade balance to remain in surplus over the medium term. It notes that fiscal austerity measures by the government have led to an increase in unrest in the state sector.
