Abstract
- The article discusses the development design and economic plans of the U.S. government St. Lawrence River which connects the country to Canada. In May 1954, the U.S. Congress passed the St. Lawrence Seaway bill that will authorize U.S. participation in a seaway whose construction was already assured. In 1952, the seaway was to be developed by the New York State in cooperation with the Province of Ontario, but Canada announced its intention of building all the navigation works by itself. The plans of the U.S. government for the seaway is also described.
