Abstract
- The article discusses the conducted study to analyze the pulmonary artery (PA) size in treated patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and determine if PA size reflects pulmonary vascular hemodynamics. PAH is a clinical syndrome due to increased pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR) resulting to right-side heart failure and, eventually, death. The study utilized cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) images to obtain PA diameter (PAD) and the ratio of PAD and ascending aorta diameter.
