Abstract

The article focuses on the effort of a group of businessmen under the banner of the Citizen's School Improvement Committee to reform the administration of public schools in Saint Louis (SL), Missouri. The group has launched a campaign to elect four candidates to the 12-man SL Board of Education in an election slated for April 1953. Among the changes it effected are the increase in school tax and the school building bond issue and the adoption of a formal code of ethics.
