Abstract: This paper presents an approach for the modelling of gas flows in thin gaps within two parallel plates. Starting from the derivation of a diffusion limit for a linear kinetic equation, we propose a first step of how to model nonlinear situations with the help of parameter lists obtained from numerical results.
