Expansion of CMAJ's support for health promotion and disease prevention.

The authors elaborate the expansion of the support of the public health team of the "Canadian Medical Association Journal" (CMAJ) for health promotion and disease prevention. They enumerated the three major foci of the public health mission of CMAJ. Emphasis on dissemination of information that has immediate application to medical practice is cited.
