Abstract

The article offers information on the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), which is considered to be the aristocracy of the U.S. labor movement and its conflict with the U.S. Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) regarding safety rules. It mentions that ALPA is a union which uses the conventional tactics of organized labor. One of the regulations of FAA Lieutenant General Elwood R. (Pete) Quesada shows the clear implication that the union is guilty of featherfeeding. The four disputed orders by Quesada issued against the ALPA are also cited.
