Abstract

The article discusses the results of the survey conducted by the McGraw-Hill Department of Economics, which showed that U.S. businessmen have increased their proposed capital spending for 1964, with investments in new plant and equipment stands to reach 42.4 billion dollars, up by 9% from 1963. The survey results showed that the businessmen are optimistic in the leadership of U.S. President Lyndon Johnson, who replaced the assassinated President John Kennedy.
