For world science: a bear hug.

The article reports on the increasing participation of Russia in international scientific meetings in 1966. According to a participant at the recent Third International Congress on Metallic Corrosion, the Soviet government is trying to normalize the image of Russian scientists to the world. The author adds that the high government of Russia has been thinking of moving out more freely in the international scientific circles for a long time. The changes in Russian research policy are also discussed.
