Abstract

The article focuses on the decision of Japanese companies to increase their investments to keep raw materials pouring in the country in 1970. The Japanese government projects that copper deposits will last only a bit more than 17 years if mining continues at its present pace. Iron is expected to vanish in Japan in 9.8 years. The government has also decided to finance the hunt for new oil and mineral deposits.
