Abstract

The article details a study on a procedure for computing partial derivatives of experimental data, published in wileyonlinelibrary.com on April 5, 2010. In order to obtain control over noise amplification, Tikhonov regularization, a specialized technique for handling ill-posed inverse problems, was used. Four practical examples that describe the implementation of the computation are presented. The study concludes that the method based on Tikhonov regulation produces reliable results when used to obtain partial derivatives of experimental data.
