Abstract
- The article reports on the impact of the strike in the pulp and paper industry and the railroad industry on the Canadian economy. The strike has resulted to a huge impact on the country's export of pulp and paper. It has cost the country 20 percent of 800,000 tons of newsprint production every month. The key issues presented by the strikers are job security and the structure of the fringe benefit and wage size.
