Israel risk: Alert -- New taxes for the energy sector?

This article provides an assessment of the plan of the Israeli government to introduce a tax regime for the energy sector. The plan is a result of recommendations of the Sheshinski committee to assess royalties and taxation policy in the sector. The committee also proposes a levy on profits from the country's oil and gas fields.
