Abstract
- This review highlights recent examples of generic statistical scaling as departures from ideal Kolmogorov fluid turbulence as seen in the solar wind. Similarity analysis is first reviewed to set turbulence in the context of the wider class of observed phenomenology that show statistical scaling. Examples are provided that are characteristic of finite range MHD turbulent phenomenology-anisotropy, and generalized similarity as a finite range effect. This motivates the question as to whether the observed phenomonology are universal. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
