Abstract
- This section offers market-related news briefs. Treasury notes have reached the highest prices with the longer-term securities beating all the records. The sugar quotas were reduced by U.S. Agriculture Secretary Wallace from 6,861,761 tons to 6,780,566 tons while sugar prices continue to be low. The expected billion-bushel wheat crop harvest kept everyone interested on what prices the government will set and the plan to make storage loans so that surplus wheat can stay off the market.
