Abstract

The article discusses the results of a census of the trends in the tourist camps in the U.S. in 1937. A report by the U.S. Census of Business defines the camps as places engaged primarily in furnishing temporary lodging accommodations to tourists in cabins or similar structures. Based on the census, 2,034 camps in the country posted an average total receipts of 4,836 U.S. dollars in 1935.
