The article discusses polymerization of byproduct gases as a method of recovering high-test fuel from waste cracking gases. Two methods of polymerization have been developed, namely, the use of intense heat and heavy pressure and the use of a catalysts under lower heat and pressure. Also noted is the recent formation of the Polymerization Process Corp. by Phillips Petroleum Co., Texas Corp. and Standard of Indiana.
