Abstract: This section offers world news briefs related to nuclear physics. The 11th conference of the Nuclei in the Cosmos series was held in Heidelberg, Germany, from July 19 to 23, 2010, which brought together cosmochemists, nuclear experimentalists and others interested in scientific questions. The second State of the Art in Nuclear Cluster Physics (SOTANCP) workshop took place at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium, from May 25 to 28, 2010. The inaugural Azarquiel school of astronomy was held in Granada, Spain, from July 4 to 11, 2010.
