AORTIC TRANSECTION.

Assesses trauma systems and their ability to manage critically ill trauma patients using the outcome from aortic transection. Use of data from the Victorian Major Trauma Study and the Federal Office of Road Safety to demonstrate the possibility of management of patients suffering from thoracic aortic injury in Victoria; Use of new techniques for repair of transection in the management of patients.
