Abstract: Investigates the effect of 1,25-dihydrocholecalciferol on the intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) expression of human alveolar macrophages (AM). Dose-dependent increase of ICAM-1 expression by 1,25- dihydrocholecalciferol; Reduction of tumor necrosis factor-alpha secretion of AM from health volunteers by 1,25 dihydrocholecalciferol.
