The article focuses on China's use of coal in sustainable ways to create energy and to limit damage to the environment that leads to climate change and global warming. The author argues that the U.S. should cooperate with China to utilize modern technologies that use coal sustainably. The environmental aspects of coal mining and the use of coal to create energy are explored, as well as the impact on the environment by the energy policies of China and the U.S.
