KTBS Embraces File-Based Future.

The article reports that KTBS Inc., an American Broadcasting Co. (ABC) owned television station, will shift into file-based newsgathering and new workflow for its Multi Media Journalists (MMJs). It says that the company will use solid-state camcorders from Sony Corp. News director Randy Bain says that their newsroom personnel are conducting trainings on the new cameras and software from Avid Inc. It adds that KTBS' MMJs will be using Media Composer software on laptops from Dell Computer Corp.
