Abstract
- The article offers information on the German fiber producer Smartfiber and its products. Smartfiber is a start-up firm in Rudolstadt, Germany founded in 2005 focused on making functional fibers from plant cellulose. The company has acquired patents for its SeaCell, which underwent several tests, as well as manufacturing facilities and workforce in 2007. Another development is a 50-50 SeaCell-merino combination on offer from the sports and activewear brand Orca, a triathlon gear specialist.
