Abstract
- The article reports on trends in the money market, stocks and bonds in response to the open market policy in the U.S. as of April 1932. Indications that banks are expanding credit include increasing loans and investments, uptrend in net demand and time deposits, and the downward trends in foreign exchange markets. Stock movements are discussed in relation to conditions such as the continued rise of the bond market, and persistent liquidation. The sensational recovery and display of strength of the bond market is also highlighted.
