Abstract

In this article the author discusses the adoption of transparency in the peer-review process at "The European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) Journal." He says that the transparency results efficiency in their publishing process as authors and referees were invited to participate in publication. He says that they anonymously publish the reports to gain thoughtful reports. He notes that such participation also poses risks for defamatory reports and increased editorial costs.
