Abstract

Educational institutions are difficult places to maintain and use software developed as part of postgraduate work due to the transient nature of the postgraduate population. One solution has been to have a sufficient number of postgraduates so that there is overlap and the departing postgraduates can train the new postgraduates on the software developed. However, postgraduate recruitment problems can thwart this effort. This letter discusses the benefits and experiences of operating a power system library for eleven years at the University of Canterbury [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
