Mouse Models of Human T Lymphotropic Virus Type-I-Associated Adult T-Cell Leukemia/Lymphoma.

The article presents a study which investigated various mouse models to understand human T lymphotropic virus type-I-associated (HTLV-I-associated) adult T-cell leukemia. It states that the ability to manipulate transgenic mice led to more understanding of viral genes responsible for lymphocyte transformation. The pathologic and clinical characteristics of HTLV-I-associated diseases in human are explained.
