Abstract
- An essay is presented which examines the three propositions on two Spanish novels about the Peninsular War including "El secreto del rey cautivo," by Antonio Gómez Rufo and "Un día de cólera," by Arturo Pérez-Reverte. It refers its first proposition on the lack of rhetoric representability on the narration of the two novels while the second pertains to the incapacity of the language to represent Spain. It also notes the broad spectrum of nationalism in the country.
