Abstract

The authors reflect of the misconceptions related to the role of smoking cessation assistance. They explore four fallacies on the cessation assistance including the misconception that assistance is not necessary, results of research in cessation assistance is not applicable in the real world, and other intervention is more effective. They argue that different types of interventions for tobacco control have its respective functions and works cooperatively with each other.
