Abstract

The article reports that the U.S. cooperation with allies in East Asia has improved in resisting the Soviet Union's (USSR) military advancements in the eastern region. It mentions that Soviet Union has fortified nearly 10,000 ground troops on islands of northern Japan. It informs that Soviet Union submarines armed with missiles are targeting the U.S. to take up their stations in the open waters of the North Pacific and guard itself from Japanese, American, and Chinese military alliance.
