The article reports that workers and farmers across many regions in Poland launched a new round of protests against Polish government failure to meet the promises contained in the historic agreements signed last year in Gdansk, Poland. Workers are demanding a five-day work week and the farmers are demanding recognition of their own independent union, Rural Solidarity. However the government had shown no intentions of retreating.
