Abstract
- The article offers information on the hostage crisis faced by the U.S. About 52 U.S. nationals were taken hostage by Iran. But with diplomatic efforts the U.S. government managed to force the release of all 52 hostages. The public mood turned more somber and angry when the released Americans began to tell their families and U.S. officials about the cruelty they had endured during the 14 months ordeal in Iran.
