Abstract

The article offers information between the cold war between Soviet Union and the U.S. It discusses the positive impacts of the exchanging of convicted cold war spies from both sides including American pilot Gary Powers and Russian colonel Rudolf Abel, which was considered a milestone in the cold war. It mentions that thenegotiations that led to the Powers-Abel transfer began due to the efforts of New York lawyer James B. Denovan, who is an expert in espionage cases.
