Abstract
- The article reports on the opening of McDonald's Corp. in Chicago, Illinois that is managed by Ray A. Kroc in 1961. It states that McDonald's Corp.'s drive-ins offer only French fried potatoes and soft drinks but on this limited bill of fare. Kroc expects to ring up sales of 60 million dollars which is enough to give the company's estimated pretax profits of more than 4,000,000 dollars. It also notes that Kroc's business has expanded in Albuquerque, Atlanta, and in Durham, North Carolina.
