Abstract
- The article reports on the political decision to hold back the Allied Expeditionary Force under General Dwight Eisenhower during the cold-war in Berlin, Germany. It mentions that the Russian troops led by Marshal Georgy Zhukov is struggling against the opposition of Adolf Hitler's eastern front armies. Eisenhower states that his purpose is to destroy the enemy's forces and his powers to resist. Furthermore, occupation zones are created in which Eisenhower has limited control.
