Abstract

The article offers information on the storm that hit Delta in India. It mentions that in October 1960, thousands died in the worst storm that took place since October 1876, where 100,000 drowned in 30 minutes . It states that strong winds reached 80 miles per hours (m.p.h.), destroying houses and communication facilities. It notes that the storm also destroyed the railway station and a bazaar was blown away.
