Abstract

The article reports on the results on adoption case of Gloria Combs and Dick Combs for their foster child Alice Marie in Old Bridge, New Jersey. It denied their request because the Board of Child Welfare believes the child is too bright to remain in the couple's television-centered household. Meanwhile, psychologists noted that the high intelligence quotient (IQ) of Alice is attributed to environment and heredity and the couple is largely responsible for her high score.
