Abstract
- The article reports on the three-way massive campaign of Salk killed-virus injections launched by Russian physician Albert Sabin to treat children with poliomyelitis in the U.S. in 1960. The Dade County Medical Association, the county Health Department and the University of Miami's School of Medicine have worked together to treat over 440,000 children in the country. The Strategic Air Command's 823rd Air Division, corpsmen and nurses were disseminated in different places to support the event.
