Abstract

The article reports on the strike against American Airlines Inc. in the U.S. in December 1958. It says that American Airlines' DC-6 plane at Flight 116 discharged 62 passengers and joined the 194 planes grounded at airports in the country. It notes that Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) and American Airlines cannot agree on flying hours and wages of a third pilot in the cockpit. It adds Eastern Air Lines Inc. is also strikebound since November 24, when its flight engineers walked out.
